Upon your pet’s routine exam, your veterinarian will examine your pet from head to tail – checking:

• Vital signs – temperature, pulse, respiration
• Eyes and ears for infection, discharge, or any abnormalities
• Mouth and teeth for gum disease
• Evaluate cardiac and respiratory health by listening to the heart and lungs
• Gastrointestinal screening for causes of vomiting or diarrhea
• Skeletal and muscular health and feeling for any discomfort or joint pain
• Neurological system – any cognitive issues or concerns
• Lymph nodes – swollen lymph nodes could indicate infection or illness
• Skin and coat condition – fleas, allergies, growths, infections, wounds, and all-over skin condition
• Weight and body condition
